Rejoice! The 12 days of Christmas are here! And here is how they kick off.

It's been a lot of time, really a lot of time since Toxin and I began working on bad ol' Mac in his Venom personna with a Scorpion tail. We went through three different coders and guess what... thrid time's the charm. Here's our Venom, courtesy of Magus, Toxin and myself.

To all of you who have been watching and waiting to play this character since the beginning, I hope he lives up to your expectations.

To all of you who were unsure of whether or not this character was ever going to be released... Ha! In your faces!

To all of you who were 50-50 on likeing a second rate Venom with a tail who in the comics has been inconsistent (first he was a clumsy skinnier Venom, then he grew a tail and kept it on, then he was man-eating hulkish monster, now he is the Sinister Spider-man who is portrayed as very different characters in his own mini-series than in the Darlk Avengers series)... well, I hope you like enough not to pay attention to all of the above.

To all of you who are tired of this introduction, here's a brief synopsis of what he's got:

What's in:
- Basic movement animations
- Get hits
- Basic attacks
- Specials (plenty to choose from)
- Hypers (3 so far, but pretty fun to use)
- Intros (3 so far)
- Winposes (2 so far)

What will come in future updates:
- Improved tails
- Some improved animations
- Special states animations (dizzy, shocked, frozen, burnt, etc.)
- Better voices
- New hypers
- At least one air special
- Improved and new intros
- New winposes

Great work, guys. Love the design on this guy. Do hope that in the future that spike hyper across the ground gets replaced with something else. As it's too much like the original Venom IMO and would be best to distance this one from that as much as possible.

Never the less, love the design and some truly great stuff in this character. Looking forward to checking out future updates.

nice release, best thing is his basics with same effects to air/stand/crounch, like the mace to hp and tail to hk.
i know u have plan for anim upgrades, a sprite to stand-walk should be cool.

This version of Venom (MacDonald Gargan) must be used in the following projects:

-Marvel Super Heroes 2
-DC Vs Marvel sequel

Due to the fact that the original Venom (Eddie Brock) will appear in the original DC Vs Marvel.

Thanks to all of you for your positive comments. Merry Christmas to all of you as well. Unfortunately I couldn't work more on Mac because the week before Christmas I was extremely busy with exams and on top of that my PC flatlined, apparently due to a malfunction in my hardrive, so I lost everything I hadn't previously sent to Magus and Toxin.

Batzarro, thanks for the feedback and yes, Toxin and I had been talking about modifying that hyper in particular since it resembles both Venom and Twelve's hypers, rest assure it will be differnt in the next update whenever it may come.

Zvitor, yeah Toxin and I wanted there to be marked differences between weak, med and strong attacks, they're mostly based on stuff he did in the comics, particularly the Beyond miniseries. About the trick arrow, yeah, didn't think I'd forget about that, huh?

Dragon-kid, far as I know, there will be no Venom in phase 1. Possibly in Phase 2, but I feel like 1 Venom should be enough and that place belongs to the original Venom (Eddy Brock). He already IS in the MSH2 project, check the project's subforum
