A little late, and hopefully not too overhyped, today I'm releasing a "release candidate" version of Parasite 2.0. Thanks go to all the ScruffyDragons that have helped me, but especially to my new teammate and partner, Jet the Phoenix, who was responsible for so much of the graphical update in this version. He now sports a full smart palette (with a whole passel of alternates available in the archive), and new, more aggressive stance courtesy of Sei, and a metric TON of new power sets and fixed/improved moves for existing power sets (I think the count is at 49 stolen specials, 29 stolen hypers, with plenty more in development).

Note that not everything is done yet; I'm sure there are still a ton of bug fixes to do, and there are still more missing moves than I would like, but it's certainly a giant leap in the right direction. It's way more than I can even put in the readme file, but make sure you read it anyway to see what characters he supports, and the implementation status on their power sets. Even better, check the powersets.xls file in the folder, it details all the current power sets, and what's done and what's not. (the same information is also on Parasite's page at my blog)

I should mention that this version also includes a useful feature for testing/debugging/versus play: his taunt causes him to randomly get two new power sets, in case the ones you have aren't very useful in the current fight. Not sure if it'll stay in the final 2.0 release, but it makes playing head-to-head with my son a whole lot of fun. :rockon:

Well, with every good thing there comes that bad. Heh, sorry to be a debbie downer but Here's the glitch report that I've found so far....

Cyclops: He disappears during his kick and his actions for his hyper repeat 3 times before it actually fires his blast.

Songbird: He... Jumps and that's it. XD

Spider-man: Unless you planned something else, one of the buttons for his web shooters doesn't work.

I'll inform you if I find anything else wrong.

ill keep updating this post with feed back:

1st thing i've notice was the maxima parasite hyper doesn't work...instead of attacking he just floats around in the air or flies out of the screen
2nd the DrDoom hyper is messed up it doesnt do any damage
3rd the Captain America stars and stripes doesnt do any damage to the opponent at all
4th idk if anyone else has this problem but Parasite lagz my mugen when i play as him

Amazing work! He plays incredibly good, and all of his powers makes him 100 characters in one lol. Sometimes he dissapears though, like when doing Cyclops kicks or Star and Stripes. Congratulations!

This looks incredible. Regretfully, I won't be able to try it for a while, but if I do get a chance in time, you'll have detailed feedback as always. I'm a hell of a lot more excited for this release than I was the original Parasite, the graphics just look so much better. Kudos. :salute:

maybe a 1lvl hyper to randomly powers

edit:
tested, colors is great.
u made a power set to all green lanterns, nice, maybe one to all telepatic mutants should works too
(psylocke, jean, emma, xavier, cable....)

2 bugs:
- carnage special in air, he set to pos y = 0, wier if use in a super jump.
- a fire bash in air too, he stand in air.
